Have you heard? Our Summer Reading Club (SRC) has begun! We have tons of activities, programs, and reading challenges to take part in every day this summer.

Our Summer Reading Club is designed for kids aged 3 to 12 years old, and is offered in English or French (when bilingual staff are available).

There are a few different ways kids can take part:

  1. Attend Exciting Programs & Events
Come enjoy our amazing summer program lineup, from magic shows and messy science, to Bluey celebrations and fire trucks. And it's all for free!
  2. Drop in for Fun Activities
Drop in to any of our locations throughout the summer to take part in crafts, scavenger hunts, and more.
  3. Download the Beanstack Tracker App
Get reading and log all the books you read this summer. The more you read, the more prizes you can win.

This year, we have an extra fun surprise - a gumball machine full of awesome prizes! For every 5 books you read, you'll get a token for the gumball machine and earn a ballot on Beanstack for the end of summer grand prize. Tracking begins July 2.

Download our printable Summer Reading Club flyer, pick up a copy at the library, or check out the online interactive version with links to more information on each program.

Visit barrielibrary.ca/SRC for more information about the Summer Reading Club and how to join.
