Interlibrary Loan services are temporarily unavailable due to the Canada Post strike which began on Friday, November 15. Please note that BPL books can still be returned to any Barrie Public Library location.

Interlibrary Loans are books that we borrow by request from another library system in Ontario if we don't have it in our collection. Members can still place requests for Interlibrary Loans, but they won't be fulfilled until the strike has been resolved.

To place a request for an Interlibrary Loan, you can call 705-728-1010 or email AskUs@barrielibrary.ca.

Depending on the length of the strike, there will likely be a backlog of requests across the province for Interlibrary Loans. This may result in longer wait times for requests to be processed and fulfilled.
