The wait is over! We're excited to announce the launch of Simcoe Reads 2023, a cover-to-cover fun-filled competition for adults with seven local libraries!
Join the Barrie Public Library, Essa Public Library, Innisfil Idealab & Library, Midland Public Library, New Tecumseth Public Library, Ramara Township Public Library, and Bradford West Gwillimbury Public Library this summer and check out some great Canadian reads. Each library has chosen one book to take part in the challenge, and one local community member to champion it.
We're excited to announce our book title is How To Calm Your Mind by Chris Bailey and our Community Champion is Shakir Barmare!
How to Calm Your Mind is a toolkit of accessible, science-backed strategies that reveal that the path to a less anxious life, and even greater productivity, runs directly through calm.
Read all seven books this summer, pick your favourite and then join us in October to see which book is crowned the winner. Follow the participating libraries on Facebook to learn more about each book chosen for the competition!
