Calling all Volunteers! The Barrie Public Library is currently recruiting volunteers for our 18th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival, held at Heritage Park on Saturday, August 20.

Volunteers play an integral role in the continued success of the festival each year. With more than 15 volunteer positions to choose from and hundreds of hours to fill, there are roles for anyone and everyone - from support on the docks, to site set-up or ensuring our event is as safe as possible.

How to Apply

We welcome applications from all interested individuals 14 years of age or older. It's a great opportunity for students to earn Community Service hours and have fun while doing it! Up to 20 volunteer hours can be completed in just one weekend by volunteering for the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival.
