Social Media Acceptable Use Guidelines
It is important that everyone in our community feels respected and safe online. We monitor our social media accounts daily, and reserve the right to remove content if it includes:
- commercial content or spam;
- sarcastic and/or disrespectful comments;
- comments not directly related to the post that is being commented on;
- promotion of political candidates or political views;
- promotion of illegal activities;
- vulgar, offensive, inflammatory, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate remarks or language; and/or,
- confidential information or information that may compromise the safety and security of the Barrie Public Library.
While we try to remove comments not meeting these guidelines as quickly as possible, we are not responsible for the content or information users post on our social media sites.
