Our Painswick Branch is located in the south end of Barrie, near the corner of Big Bay Point Road and Yonge Street. The building and facilities are fully accessible.

Services and Amenities

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the building. There is no password – just connect to the Barrie Public Library network and accept the user agreement.

Room Rental
The Massie Family Community Room is available to rent for a fee. Booking requests are on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be made up to 60 days in advance of the booking date.

Other Services
Photocopying and printing is available in black & white or colour at a cost of 20 cents per page. Scanning to email is also available. Computers are available for 5 hours per day for library cardholders. We do not offer fax service. Learn more about our services offered at both branches.

Barrie Transit

The Barrie Transit route that services Painswick has been transitioned to Transit ON Demand Zone D. The closest stop is Stop 764. Transit ON Demand is a Barrie Transit service without a fixed schedule or route.
