Holly

Our Holly location is a boutique library space located in the Food Basics Plaza on Essa Road. It's fully accessible and located within walking distance from the Peggy Hill Team Community Centre. This new location opened in August 2022.

Holly has an amazing range of collections, services, spaces, and programs. With over 30,000 titles for kids, teens and adults, there is a massive selection of brand new books, movies, and magazines you can borrow. We also have laptops you can use while you're here, a printer and copier, work spaces, a bookable meeting room, and a kids area.

Services and Amenities

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available for free throughout the space. There is no password – just connect to the Barrie Public Library network and accept the user agreement.

Laptops
Laptops are available for 5 hoursper day for library card holders. Learn more about our services offered at our libraries.

Photocopying and Printing
Photocopying and printing is available in black & white or colour at a cost of 20 cents per page. Scanning to email is also available. We do not offer fax service.

The nearest bus stops to our Holly location are:

STOP 855: (across Essa Rd. near Coughlin Rd. by the Rexall) serviced by 7A Grove N (northbound clockwise loop)
STOP 868: (on plaza side of Essa Rd. near Coughlin Rd. by the Rexall) serviced by 7B Bear Creek S (southbound counter-clockwise loop)

Driving
From central Barrie, take Essa Road heading south until you cross Mapleton Avenue. Turn into the plaza on the right, and we are located towards the centre of the main plaza.
